I was torn between this one and the great Green Mile.

O one of his best novels. The movie did the novel justice.

King is such an amazingly talented prolific writer. No matter the subject or length of the work, he has done something for almost everyone.

Player Jellybean, that happens a lot. King tells a story of being recognized by a woman in a Florida grocery store. She chastised him for writing horror saying he should write something uplifting like that Shawshank Redemption story. He chuckled and told her he DID write it. She refused to believe him. 😆

Grant, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption was not a short story but a novella in the book Different Seasons by Stephen King. Different Seasons contained four novellas.
