I remember sitting around the t.v. set with my parents and family while we watched, and waited, for the outcome of this in real time!
When they were safely recovered we all broke out in cheers, and my mom was crying!
T.V. seemed to connect us to the rest of the world back then in a way that I haven't felt in a long time!
We also watched the assassinations of JFK and MLK live, as well as their funerals!
The emotions pouring through the T.V., (in both directions), seemed so real at the time!

brickmartian, I sure do remember that, too. My grandfather worked in aviation and knew Lovell. He was so happy when they finally made it home!

It was a miracle that they all came back alive. The crew on earth that worked together to bring them home amazing… we need that today. Ron Howard and all the cast was excellent. Such a great movie get your kids to watch
