The name "cassowary" is of Papuan origin. Which meaning does it have?

Used to be some in the forest behind our house in Queensland when I was a kid.Their calls would make you feel weird. One would come near the house for table scraps and the tons of dead mice Dad had caught in traps because Mum insisted he removed the pythons that were in the roof when we got there that had been controlling them.
