In which country was Edvard Munch, the author of the famous painting "The Scream" born?

Author? I thought that was only used for creators of literature?

While cycling in Norway a few years ago, I saw Munch's childhood home. The Munch Museum in Oslo was impressive.

RedSeaDiver, One of the meanings of the word "author" is one who begins something or creates something. So a painter is the author of his or her painting. The same would apply to sculptors etc. It's a bit like...a painter is an artist, so is a great dancer or opera singer.

I read recently that The Scream was a representation of his Borderline Personality Disorder
