Which actor owned the Polynesian island known as Tetiꞌaroa in the Pacific?
Correct answer: Marlon Brando
I am not a number.
Old Fool,
"In 1904, the royal family sold Tetiꞌaroa to Johnston Walter Williams, a Canadian national and the only dentist in Tahiti. Williams later became Consul of the United Kingdom from 1916 to 1935. Williams managed Tetiꞌaroa as a residence and a copra plantation".
That Cøunt, Ray Bumpkin
Old Fool, the ownership / lease thing is confusing. This is my interpretation: the whole area is under French ownership as part of French Polynesia. Brando leased the islets (motus) but not the reef and lagoon. His last will didn't leave any instructions about Teti'aroa, but it is still part of his estate and his executors appear to be managing it.

I think "On the waterfront " was his best performance
Old Fool
If he had a lease he didn't own the island.
Also who is Williams and how did ownership transfer to France?

Imagine living in that beautiful spot. Just look at that reef! I'd be snorkeling every day!

If that’s it in the picture, it looks pretty boring. Like a golf course without trees, bunkers, and golf.

85 Bear, That's how I chose the answer as well. And thanks to Old Fool for explaining who Williams was.

The answer is actually in the word "owned" as in past tense. The other 3 actors to choose from are still all alive.
