Port Said lies at the north end of which canal?

An amazing feat by those that built it, especially in those days... it must have made such an impact on world trade. I imagine there was quite a bit of suffering for the labourers :(

Travelled through this canal in 1976 on the now defunct ship Australis. Wonderful experience, magical evening in Port Said with my now, sadly dear departed parents. Whole cruise to N.Z. is an amazing memory.
