In what country do people farm the most expensive melon called the Yubari King?

I guess in Japan where land is expensive this might be expected, but I would be wary of even $40 for a perfectly ripe Rocky Ford cantaloupe.

And a good cantaloupe only costs us $2.99 per pound.

TestyAlien3443, looks like an ordinary sweet melon to me, one costs R15 here in South Africa. Lovely sweet taste. Delicious cold with ice cream.

I love the smell of these melons but do not like the taste.

I'd love to taste one someday.
