So glad to learn of this. Fossey and Goodall were/are brave pioneers who's work is turning things around for the better.

I was lucky enough to vist Rwanda and the Gorillas in 2008 . The interaction between the parents and the young Gorillas was fascinating, they are so like us, the way they care for, play with, and discipline the young ones. Rwanda has a sad history but is a stunning, beautiful country, and a fairly safe one for visitors.

the murder of Dian Fossey who did so much proves how much Humanity needs to learn. we are as strong (or not!) as our weakest link
