Andi, 100 percent! see my above comment. I grew up in Marceline Missouri, where he was a child. He contribute to new elementary school built in 1959. Had Disney artists decorate entire school and playground, took a ride from Disneyland and reopened it in Marceline near the Olympic sized pool complex he donated.

Giggle pig, please be aware that both Walt, and Roy disney are dead. Walt since mid 1960s.Those men were the total opposite of what is going on 50 years later. In 1959 they went back to the tiny town in Missouri where they had lived as children. They contributed much to the new elemenary school and community. Had disney artist decorate the school with huge brightly painted images of the Disney charactors that existed then. six and eight foot high ones, in halls, lunch/gym/stage room and lobby. The playground had Wagons Ho! Conestoga wagon canves roofing over a big double slide, Donald Duck and Mickey mouse heads on swinging seesaw type things and everything else in vivid colors. He donated an Olympic sized pool complex with locker rooms and concession stand. Do to current owners not caring, it was replaced by citizens themselves three years ago.The only ride ever removed from Disneyland, the Midget Autopia was taken and rebuilt in Marceline. It too eventually was retired because town so small didnt have money or skilled workers to fix it. cars are locked up, one in the Disney Hometown Museum in the old railway station.. Walt and Roy visited with a parade when I was six. The Walt Disney stamp had its First Day ceremony there when I was about 14. Roy there. The farm is still there. A place Disney's father was well know for beating his sons at.Main Street USA at Disneyland was modeled on the one in Marceline. Things changed massively after Disneys died.

If Walt Disney were alive today, he would change their whole pricing structure. Because Walt Disney was Not Greedy like all of his relatives apparently are!! The answer to the question seems to take on the atmosphere of an advertisement for Disney. Disney productions used to be great for kids. Good, wholesome entertainment. Not any more. It's money, money , money.
