Slavery was started long before European people got involved.The Egyptians took people captured by other tribes in western Africa and sold them to Arabs.Who walked them thousands of miles over the Sahara Desert to Egypt in camel trains to work for the pharaohs.Built the Pyramids and worked on the land. Many people died traveling there and were very badly treated when they got to Egypt.
