Which of these are traditional Japanese entryway areas for a house or an apartment?

This is really an interesting piece of information. I know that other countries do things differently but I find this idea truly different.

I think I buy this idea of removal of shoes before entering the house, so hygienic and leaving bad luck outside.

Like a vestibule in my northern house. a place to remove shoes n boots, and coats n jackets.
