What are the precipitation called that freeze on contact with surfaces?

We get these in Georgia. It’s beautiful to see our many pine trees with each needle coated individually with icicles.

Dr Walnut, Yes! and it snowed last year! it was crazy!! I hate the cold hate snow! even though I was born in new York in the winter!! I just love the hot! it's like why do people like the opposite of everything I don't know like I was born in winter but I hate the cold love the hot and my big bro was born in spring but he loves the cold!! don't know why it's weird!
