Which U.S. location played host to more than 60 Hollywood productions from 1923 to the 1970s?
Correct answer: Sedona, Arizona

Frank Lloyd Wright has a church there. Beautiful architecture, yet it seemed to me the spirit was more in the natural setting than the building.

Sedona has the only McDonald's that has a different color for its DT arch..it's a teal blue..😀

Moray, that is what Frank Loyd Wright did best. blending the environment with his building. I'm from Wisconsin he built a house on a rock. look up " house on the rock. " it's very cool.

when I was younger and in the Scouts we went there for a jamboree and it's very beautiful in that rustic desert kind of way. a really good memory for me.

Ken, I'm kickapoogian! Taliesin is Frank Loyd Wright's house on a rock. and a UNESCO world heritage site. the other house on the rock, built nearby, by someone else entirely, also worth a look see

Ken, I did run threw that 'house' 😳 museum. I was alone and some 'rooms' scared the living heck out of me! the musical ensemble had dummy's as musicians. The eyes were demonic!

LillySparrow, I'm originally from Flagstaff, AZ. Lots of movies made there too. Love Sedona and miss the Southwest.

I grew up in Arizona (Phoenix, Scottsdale and the Tempe area) and never heard about the movies being made . . . Only the people into crystals, new age and etc. it is beautiful there though!
Marguerite Brunswig Staude was a student ~
From around the world, Sedona's Chapel of the Holy Cross has been included in this awe-inspiring list. “Situated between massive red boulders in Sedona, the chapel was built in 1956 by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright named Marguerite Brunswig Staude.” Photograph by Charles Kogod, National Geographic Creative.
