A great book by John Grisham, "The Testament". the setting is mostly in the Pantanal in South America. it's great to listen to. The synopsis is that a billionaire bypasses all family who is groping for his fortune and donated everything to his only daughter, a doctor and missionary, who lives with an isolated tribe in the Pantanal. a very good story. memorable, I listened to it 2 summers ago and I still remember it.

40 years ago, me and my brother went toa farm In Dourados, Panatanal It was a fantastic experience to see the nature so majestically presented. Everything is a perfect and big ecosystem for all planet. Preserving nature is preserving life.

I saw a doc recently showing the drug cartels are mining for gold in the Amazon, and doing horrible damage with unregulated mercury and other environmental poison.
