They are unsung heroes, left a great legacy

Appleton
Thank you. Was not aware of them.

Pennyenn
There are so many stories of unsung heroes from all backgrounds. But if you go down the rabbit hole of truth you will find minorities have always served their country. Even though their country turns it's back when they no longer fit the narrative and say they've always been problematic. Blacks, Indians, Muslims, Hispanic. All face the same scrutiny while loving living and dying for their country.

Amazing . Never heard of them before . Should make a movie

Carol
Many stories have been left out of our history books. That being said the group Sabaton recorded a song called Hellfighters. The lyrics tell the story. The album it is on tells many of the WW I stories that many of us haven’t heard

Yaz
addam , These stories have been left out on purpose to fit the false narrative of white supremacy. The truth needs to be told. African Americans have fought in every American conflict dating back to the American Revolution.

Bam Bam
Amazing never heard of them before should be placed in schools as part of positive history.
Not all black history should show only oppressed slavery.
Nonetheless some see this as people of color being used because they were needed.
Proud that they were...

Dayrell
These men were courageous and determined to make their own HISTORY
I am proud to say I teach 8th grade Social Studies n it was so good to introduce them to my students

Martie
GOD BLESS THEM ONE AND ALL🙏

addam
amazing story that unfortunately missed the history books when I was a kid growing up during the 60s and 70s and of course it was left out accidentally along with all the other great accomplishments that African-American had made because the government didn't do it intentionally and then lie and say that African-Americans don't have any past history everything that's been created and is great was created by a white person of course the government would never lie to us hahaha 😆 😂

Yaz, so true. When I was in school, we only learned about one or two black people. Frederick Douglas was one of them. So many accomplishments were left out of our history books! When I was in high school, we integrated. Blacks had a separate history class to learn about their history. We whites were strongly discouraged from participating. Such a travesty!

Yaz, Don't forget the white young men who come from low income and low to little educational backgrounds have been the main cannon fodder chosen to fight the wars and thus suffered the most casualties

Sis
Yaz, RIGHT!!
