Later they had a system that destabilized the video if you tried to do a VCR to VCR dub. Of course, someone came out with a little box that worked around it. Either they industry wouldn't license the copy protection to adult film producers or the adult companies didn't want to pay the fee, because adult VHS tapes didn't have it and could be dubbed easily, if you wanted to make a copy of a rental - ahem, or so I'm told.

ET classic! I know that you were able to record over stuff if you put the tabs back into video and cassette tapes, used to do it on purpose on my sisters Bros tapes!!
