As of 2018, what percentage of U.S. Senators were millionaires?
Correct answer: Two-thirds

It is an OUTRAGE that this goes on...has been going on. There's also the appalling fact that senators and representatives do not pay social security taxes or have the same health care the rest of us do. There should be laws requiring any and all government officials/employees to be subject to the same requirements as all American citizens. Also, that they cannot pass laws to exclude themselves from any thing - including taxes - that other citizens must have responsibility for. They are, after all, PUBLIC SERVANTS!

I wonder what percentage of the two-thirds became millionaires while in the Senate.

Kane, It is an outrage! But like so many other things...we as citizens can do nothing about it.
But then we elected them ...so what does that say about us?

No more PACs, no more fundraising Take every lobbyist away from campaigns. No corporate donations, none. No more do corporations control our politics, nor the rich people should make decisions for the American people. From here on out every person running for govt. from the county recorder to the President will be allowed donations from US citizens of no more than $100. They will no longer get any TV time, no social media, no phone ads, no robo calls. Allowable methods of campaigning will be rally’s, townhalls, billboards, direct mailing and door to door. Hopefully this will curb some corruption. Take the money out of politics now!

Mary, Good Point. I know AOC in congress was a bartender before congress, two years later she has a sizable amount of money now.
