I have been to Dumaguete, a city on Negros Oriental, Philippines. Also to Cebu. The islands were beautiful, and the people were warm and friendly! I knew about the Visayan dialect (Tagalag being the most prominently spoken language) so I was able to answer correctly! Would love to return some day!

Interesting information about our beautiful world. I had never heard of these Islands. I am in Australia and have never been to the Philippines. I googled travel to Philippines ages ago and it didn't sound like a very safe place for traveller's? Would native people from there regard it as safe for a traveller who just wants to explore our beautiful world?
