Which language does the word "hygiene" come from?

Theving, many English words have their origin in other languages

As we learned in school, and in life only a few words originated from English words.

I was operated long time Ago and my doctor said I shld maintain personal hygiene ( I keep that in mind) and helps a lot that i dont encounter anymore problem about my operation
