On which continent were the adventures of the U.S. TV series "The Rat Patrol" set?

The Rat Patrol was one of my favorite TV shows when I was much, much younger. Right up there with The Man from U.N.C.L.E. & Star Trek.

I loved watching them flying over a sand dune in their jeep while on the attack.
