What is the common street name in the United Kingdom for the location of the primary retail businesses?

YoungAtHeart, actually the most common is Second Street, Main often gets renamed for heroes; MLK, Kennedy, Cesar Chavez etc. Perhaps Broadway, College Street etc. I just read this in an article, makes sense.

Main Street is more common throughout the United States.

In Canada we use highways, but not high streets.
