This was an excellent scary movie as it was very effective at creating menace and horror but without gore or cheap deaths like so many 80's horror movies had. This and maybe The Exorcist were very effective at creating a real scary genre of films in the 70's. I loved this one as a child and even the Sequel #2 was my favorite of the 3.
