On the official Stephen King message board (now closed, sadly), our mascot was Jake the Crow.

Rick-N-Bacher, unfortunately he got pigeonholed. He writes a lot of non-horror -- his latest, Billy Summers, is a good example and Joyland is one of his very best of any genre. He also wrote non-fiction books on the horror genre and about baseball. IMO, he's a modern Mark Twain.

I was surprised to find out that it was written S.King. I always thought of him as a writer of horror stories
