Where did lasagna originate?

Lasagna is a real favourite for me. Shame I can't eat it as much as my younger self. Getting older bites.

I m Of Italian descents my grand father in my dads side moved to my country in south America. Running away from WWII he had my dad and the whole family mostly eat Italian dishes all kinds of different foods including lasagna and other food.

Needs sauce !

I used to make homemade lasagna until I tried a frozen brand that tastes almost as good as any I've tasted anywhere.
