How many phalanges does a human thumb have?
Correct answer: 2

Tom
UP THE BLUES,
digits is the medical term for fingers, thumbs and toes.
Phalanges is the term for the bones, three in a finger, two in a thumb, that make up the digits.
From Phalanx a Greek soldier.

This was not a good question. It was worded weirdly.

I don't understand the objections to the question and description. By some definitions, the thumb is a finger. The phalanges are the bones.

It's easier to pick your nose with your fingers instead of your thumb, in my opinio

HipVelociraptor22874, the question was worded perfectly clearly. The other fingers have three phalanges; the thumb has two phalanges. The question was not worded ‘weirdly’ at all.

After reading that description, I still didn’t know what phalanges were. Couldn’t you just say they are the bones in the fingers? I had to look it up elsewhere.
