first Valentine with my then bf now husband he bought me tanzinite earings. me thinking they were amethyst stones wondered why he chose that color stone as opposed to blue topaz for Dec. he said because he was told tanzinite (I had never heard of that gem till then) was the stone for Dec. that is when I learned Dec has 3 different stones
