I love that they discover that laughter is more powerful than fear. There's a lesson for humanity, there.

Our daughter looked exactly like Boo when she was 2. Everyone we knew told us to go see it but didn’t say why. My husband and looked at each other in shock. She was Boo that year for Halloween, and everyone who saw her knew exactly who she was!!

That reminded me of the creature in a Star Trek episode that fed on fear. They defeated it when Dr. McCoy shot everyone up with a feel good drug and instead of being afraid, they just laughed at the monster.
In real life, many a despot has achieved power by using fear. Maybe we should hold elections on national weed day. Between the giggles and the munchies, people might make better decisions. Of course write ins for Cheech and Chong would probably win in a landslide - which might not be a bad outcome.
