What is chromophobia the fear of?

I think, right or wrong, that many phobias are simply used as attention-getting devices. The only fears that are in-born in humans are fear of falling and fear of loud noises. Everything else is learned. So someone claiming to be terrified of cotton balls or ice cream cones seems like a childish demand for attention.
