What ancient language was discovered on the Rosetta Stone, found in 1799 A.D.?

Not an accurate question or answer. The ancient language was Egyptian, written in hieroglyphic and Demotic scripts. Runes are another type of script usually for Germanic languages.

Thanks to Wikipedia the stele breaks down to 14 lines of hieroglyphic script, 32 lines of demotic script and 54 lines of ancient Greek.
