Obviously not all 4 of them are going to love a song every single time. It's a whimsical tune and conversely, as "fruity" as Buffalo Bill, or Octopus' Garden.

I had heard it wasn't a popular song with the band. I really like it though, it makes me think of Kubrick's film adaptation of Clockwork Orange for some reason. I think it uses similar synth sounds as the soundtrack possibly, not to mention the depictions of violence. Did the Beatles really ever do any bad songs though?

At the risk of articulating what may be an unpopular opinion, I find most of the Beatles early work simplistic, boardline bubble-gum pop. Much prefer their later work.

ZoeStella, this annoys me so much too. It is becoming quite normal, unfortunately. Educated people have started saying it! More annoying than this to me is “Haitch”! It’s “Aitch”. Sorry for going off at a tangent!

RICK-N-BACHER, must “have” missed, not must “of”. Have is the auxiliary verb, of is a preposition.

Moi, it was a direct quote from a respected source. It would have been dishonest and disrespectful to misquote him.
