ZyggyStardust, Not interfering in local cultures ! You must be joking. They were invaders. We take your land - you pay us money. Doesn't seem fair to me.

This question is completely incorrect and has no basis in history. Alkebulan is a supposed Arabic name post-dating the Roman empire, which first appeared in unsourced blogs. Who the heck is Louis Africanus supposed to be? The Romans didn't even refer to the continent as Africa, only the coastal region west of Egypt, and it was named after a native Berber tribe, not some mysterious guy with an anachronistic French-Latin name. Don't believe everything you find on the internet just because it sounds interesting.
