What was the name of Cardinal Richelieu's black cat?

I think he named it after himself!

Maybe he named the cat that as a reminder that you never know when the temptor might show up.

I've not heard of Lucifer

Lucifer means the "light bringer". I don't know when the association with the devil happened, but perhaps later.
