What kind of honeybee makes up 99% of the hive?

We need to look after our native honey bees, as they are so important.

Kiwozzie, You are right! Many native American are fast disappearing. As is true of many species of insects in general. Look up the Xerces Society, which advocates for bees.

Nicotine-based pesticides, and parasite-borne diseases are killing honeybees. The pesticides affect the queen's ability to reproduce, and slowly poison the whole hive.
