First time I had osso bucco was with two Scottish businessmen who lived in Baton Rouge. I met them for dinner in New Orleans and they insisted on a restaurant that they said served excellent osso bucco. It was indeed.

Player #27327294, We agree, if someone had to "pigeonhole" an actual category on Osobuco, it's more of a stew than I casserole, or even a main dish, definitely not a casserole.

I have had this in a restaurant cooked by a very talented French chef Michele Courtine’s. Stuart, FL. Unfortunately Courtine’s is now closed.
