tunegrabber, oxidised copper is always green. the thing with your roof is that the other element is there to hinder the copper oxidising by becoming the victim instead.

Not anymore. I have a copper roof I put on in 2007 and it's a beautiful chocolate brown. I believe there is less copper in place of another element,zinc?
