Who is thought to have poisoned Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart?

Wagner, not yet born, Vivaldi, dead, and a monk, Beethoven, ? probably too young. I went by dates. Amadeus is an invented story about a man's (Salieri) struggle with a god/reason that would give such a frivolous man (Mozart) the ability to produce such devine beauty. The setting is just to convey a theme, it is not historically accurate.

if it was proven false, then it's no longer thought Salieri poisoned him.

Really bad I only knew this answer because of The Simpsons.

one of my favorite movies is "Amadeus" which is about their relationship. I can't believe that Salieri would do that.

Amadeus is a fantastic movie. It makes you wonder if Mozart was really that annoying , right ?
