Player #29762513, What do you mean, not free in Australia? It saddens me greatly that a lack of freedom prevails. What exactly is the cause? I think others might like to know as well.

Contrary to what another player has said, I think Australia is still one of the freest countries in the world. We have no wars or gun violence, we are a wealthy country, we are mostly accepting of diversity, and we have an open democracy. Our media ownership is a bit alarming (the third worst in the world in terms of variety - almost all our media is owned by NewsCorp), but other than that we are free to live as we choose and be ourselves.

Vanessa, Such disingenuous comments! Firstly nearly every country in the world has been colonised and or invaded at sometime in it's history ,it's what humans do and judging from current events in Ukraine it's not going to stop at anytime soon and secondly one of the main reasons aboriginal men serve time is for domestic violence committed against their women and children, a crime that has reached crisis point in some remote communities especially those who have the "freedom " to purchase alcohol.

freedom will have a lot of different meanings. this may be the definition

Freedom is a personal decision to do what is necessary for yourself without hurting other people. also Christians can practice freedom with certain restraints. St Paul said he was free but not all things were good for him.
