Been there many years, casually, as it was our Easter break. So from Spain we went to spend 5 days in Amsterdam and came to see Keukenhof - the most beautiful garden in the world. Also saw Buchart gardens in Vancouver Island, Canada, also so beautiful, but Keukenhof is absolutely stunning!

Betty, My late Father in Law was a Market Gardener. Aswell as producing Tomatoes, onions and other vegetables for market, he also grew flowers. Daffodils, Tulips and Dahlias were his choice for selling on. He also visited this site and he was awestruck by not only the vastness, but also the beauty of the Tulips.

We visited Keukenhof in 2014. Really nice but commercialized. Expensive and it did not seem that big.The signages were not very straightforward either. A simple tulip field next to was more natural & nicer!!!

I visited when their theme happened to be New York City. They had made the Yankees logo out of various flowers and from that event I learned that The Bronx (Bronks), (Broeklyn), Harlem, (Haarlem) are Dutch names. Also Yan and Kees are men's names which is assumed they were always together. Last bit of trivia is stoop (stoep) is Dutch for sidewalk.
