Player #28825483, Actually the bodies were entombed in ash and then rotted away leaving voids in the ash. what you are seeing are plaster casts of these voids.

I've been there. May of 2025, my birthday week. It's a beautiful city, despite its ruinous state. Walking through its streets helps you visualize what it was to be alive 2000 years ago. It's basically time travel. I advise anyone to visit.
