Which of the following is sold in Brazil as 'English sauce'?
Correct answer: Worcestershire sauce

Worcestershire sauce can kill. Have to be careful which brand you get if you have a fish alergy as the "good stuff" has anchovies. Many people do not pay attention to the ingredients or do not warn their guests. We learned this little nugget in a very, nearly deadly, bad way. EpiPen & ER was not a fun night to say the least. Unfortunately we have to settle for the inferior version due to that alergy, such a travesty of taste, but a necessity in this kitchen.

Actually it was created in the town of Northampton but the creator moved to Worcestershire with a barrel of the stuff and the commercial side went from there.
How much easier would Northamptonshire sauce be for the world (esp Americans and by the look of it Brazilians) than Worcestershire sauce!

It actually came about by accident, they was making something else (can’t remember what) it was left fermenting for a very long time . Then one day they went and opened the barrels and hey presto the rest is history, it’s nice splashing a few drops on steak while cooking 😋

English Sherherd's Pie would not be the same without a few shakes of Worcestershire Sauce in it during cooking!.

Other than we Canucks, does anyone else drink Caesars? If you're coming to Canada and have never had one before, try it! I think you'll like it.
