it's not wool, but referred to as fiber, for it doesn't contain lanolin

I remember the scandal in the the 1950s, when a White House chief of staff accepted a valuable vicuna coat and an oriental rug from a businessman who was hoping to get favorable treatment from 2 federal agencies. I had never heard of a coat like that.
