it's too bad that he had to deal with all the hatred during the few weeks while he was nearing babe hr record if you ask me those accomplishments by MLB players prior to 1947 should have a asterisk since all those players played against teams that didn't have black players. apparently babe hr record was broken twice no telling how many ppl of color could've been hr record holders back in the day

Lived in St. Louis, Missouri and watched Hank Aaron play against the St. Louis Cardinals in the late 60s…always knew when he was at bat, everyone on any opposing team was at the ready!! He was an amazing guy to watch play and I’m glad I got the opportunity to watch him play…great memory!!
