My family had a Border Collie when I was a child named Sandy! He was very protective of us kids! At night, Sandy would lay near my brother's bed, being the eyes and ears of my parents should my brother have an epileptic seizure. If that happened, Sandy would start barking to draw attention to my bro. The fascinating thing about this was that Sandy was not trained to do this. It was all through instinct and intelligence!
