In which year did the first Star Wars movie premier?

I remember seeing it as a teenager, it was amazing!

loved the series, 1st one was best though.

Same year as HM Queen Elizabeth's silver jubilee.

I was 18 years old when I saw this first Star Wars movie. It absolutely blew me away. I consider it the best movie of the series.

I went and watched it at flicks,fantastic,for a 7 year old in 1977

Mars V, it WAS a lot of fun when it first came out in theaters. I was ten years old, and I don't remember how many times I saw it that year.

George Lucas! The man who created a whole Galaxy Far Far Away for me Star Wars was and still is the best film of all time from the characters to the effects to the toys, it made my childhood and despite some Episodes being a lot less exciting I’d still be one of the first in the queue to see the next episode in fact on August 25th Star Wars Sundays are starting so I guess I better book my ticket for Ep 1 then work my way through the entire Saga…..AGAIN 👍👍😀

I think it would be fun to watch it as it originally was, but I’m open to the possibility that it might not be.

Deborah , Same here! I made friends with the manager of the theater and he'd let me come watch it when I got off work next door. I saw it easily a hundred times that year.
