What does "World COPD Day" relate to?

I knew this as my 3 of my grandchildren’s other nan has COPD , when she was first diagnosed she was given months to live, 4 years later she’s still with us 🙏🏼

Such an awful disease to die from. Watched my grandmother deteriorate and eventually pass from this. Very sad.

DawnyC, 12 years ago I was diagnosed with COPD ,my lungs were found to only 47% efficacy they were optimistic about my life expectancy a put it a 5-7 years,years of smoking was not the main cause of my condition it’s was working throughout my life in wood ,cement and asbestos dust ,fortunately for me on my annual health check there seems to be no further detioration and I’m now 76 years old

I have this Horrible disease 😔. I wouldn't wish it on Anyone!!

I have had copd almost 10 years now and never heard of this day. I think more info needs to be made available so that people who have this awful disease at least know they are not alone
