What is the "slipper animalcule" covered with?

Arohanui, I learned about these in high school biology, sixty years ago. Not trivial, among the first living organisms and still with us.

I think I remember it right, the picture gave it away. The hair-like part that surround the body refer to "cilia" or it could be the filtering hair inside your nose.
