It dragged on, hour after hour with the continuing brain surgery and listening blow by blow as it were over the transistor radio in class with the teacher. And with all the other assassinations and shootings, the war in Vietnam raging on. It was terrible time.

I was shocked all over again. I couldn't believe what was happening. I was only eight when JFK died, but I was a bit older with MLK and Bobby. I wanted to scream out, "Stop!" It was a time of huge loss, uncertainty and pain. Two men destroyed the hopes of millions. I believe to this day that, if MLK and RFK had lived, we might be living in a different America.
