What intestinal obstruction is an acute inflammation of the vermiform appendix?

I recall it being very painful and I was really sick. don't wish that on anyone.

some people get it and some don't. that's strange.

And I am an oddity to appendicitis. Had it chronically for 30 years before it got bad enough to be removed at age 52.

Marsh, I think historically it allowed us to eat grass which we no longer do so it appeared to be an evolutionary hangover bu I read recently that it’s now believed to hold copies of our intestinal bacteria so if that gets wiped out by sickness or disease it can be replaced. I could be wrong on both counts

I had mine taken out in 2015 it was agony. the appendix is part of your immune system from what Wikipedia said

Boxerdog4me, I’ve had a problem with mine for about the past 30 years also but they aren’t bad enough to remove, it drives me crazy but what can you do, I wish they would just take them out we don’t need them anyway. 😁✌️

My appendix ruptured when I was 10 years old. The pain was excruciating.

I remember this came out of nowhere, crippling me in 7th grade. the Red Wings came to visit me post surgery which was cool.
