Who is traditionally attributed to be the author of the "Iliad"?

I always enjoyed reading Homer. his stories seem so real although most are myths.greeks have it all over everyone.both poems are great.if you haven't read them do so. they are very enjoyable.

I love Ancient Greek literature and there is actual physical evidence of several cities being built and destroyed on site of Troy wether myth, legend or truth.Herodotus or Homer or another scribe created an excellent account of hero’s and their gods.
