What color reflects all colors?
Correct answer: White
Heartland Old Guy
True. White is not a color, rather the absence of color. That being said, we have made it a color in our attempt to describe the things we look at. Painted white, white out, and things like that. After all we can't really have our president living in the absence of color house, can we? That woulb just be wierd.

In physics, a color is visible light with a specific wavelength. Black and white are notcolors because they do not have specific wavelengths. Instead, white light contains all wavelengths of visible light. Black, on the other hand, is the absence of visible light.
Gary
if white is not a color then why do we give it a name. white and red is pink, therefore without white there would be no pink and pink is a color so white therefore must have colored properties in it.
Dr. Uslessinfo
Humans can only see a very small part of the light spectrum, can you even imagine what the colours would be like through the complete spectrum ?
ariola
i just learned that plants are green (we see them having a green colour) because chlorophyl absorbs blue and red light but reflects the green light thats why parts of the plant that contain chlorophyl are green. Stay curious :)

Heartland Old Guy, it wouldn't really be that weird since we're mostly a nation of weirdos anyway, it'd be perfect!
dini cee
Heartland Old Guy, black is the absence of color
Gart
Heartland Old Guy, Black is the absence of color. We would have to call 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue “The Reflect All Colors House”.
mia
Gary, I agree white is a color. I think it that way as well.
Cat Mom
Heartland Old Guy, you sure did generate a lot of comments lol
Cat Mom
FiannaFianna, no, Gary says that it's the "reflect all colors house" lol I'm loving this game!

Centenarian, the 4th what?
Cat Mom
Oriana, Wow, is it because I'm old or that I went to private Christian grade school? Regardless, I didn't understand the question or the discussion & I answered wrong, twice!
Cat Mom
Oriana, what about plants with other colors, such as red &/or yellow? All plants aren't solid green
Cat Mom
dini cee, the next commenter said that black was the absence of "light", not color. I have no idea myself, just commenting on you commenters
Michael
Gary, this is reference to dyes more than light.
Michael
Heartland Old Guy, white is, in the light spectrum, in fact, the presence of all colors.
the absence of light is black. darkness.....

Dr. Uslessinfo, you also spelled coloUr correctly
PerkyLin
Barbican1950, White, according to science and in light.
PerkyLin
MikeandCara4ever, No, it is the absence of color.
PerkyLin
In science and light, white is a color.
Oriana
dini cee, not exactly its the culmination of color when not referring to the light spectrum. When not talking of the light spectrum black would be the appropriate answer, but if the light spectrum comes into play the answer is white.
Oriana
ariola, yep! The plant is absorbing all colors but green which is being reflected; this allowed up to acknowledge the plant as being green. I love science.
Oriana
It should be written “ within the LIGHT SPECTRUM, what color is made up of all the colors of the rainbow” if not light referring to the light spectrum, the answer would be black. I took color theory in college but this is a grade school question. Either way I flagged this question as an inappropriate question
arohanui
Gary, it depends on whether you are talking light or pigments
Rosemary
indeed now I know that what is a reflection of others colours
